Dalia/ Bulgur with vegetables

It is healthy and tasty vegan dish, easy in cooking


  • 1 cup of dalia/ bulgur;
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1 onion of medium size, finely chopped;
  • 1 inch/ 2 cm of ginger, chopped or grated;
  • 1 green chili, chopped – to taste;
  • 1-2 tomatoes, finely chopped/ grated;
  • 1/2 cup of fresh/ frozen sweet corn;
  • Other vegetables/ mushrooms/ fresh greenery – to taste;
  • 1 tsp of cumin seeds – to taste;
  • Curry leaves – to taste;
  • Salt – to taste;
  • Black pepper – to taste;
  • Other spices – to taste;
  • 2 tbsp of oil


  • Boil dalia/ bulgur with 1 tbsp of oil and salt, set aside;
  • Add remaining oil to a pan, let it get hot;
  • Add cumin seeds and curry leaves (if adding) to a pan and fry them for 30 seconds:
  • Add ginger and onions and fry them until they turn golden-brown;
  • Add chopped tomatoes and cook for 2-3 minutes;
  • Add corn and other vegetables of your choice, cook them until they are soft (add water if required);
  • Add boiled cereal to vegetables, then add salt, black pepper and other desired spices, mix everything very well;
  • Cook it for another 5 minutes;
  • The dish is ready. You can serve it with a fresh greenery/ a small amount of roasted peanuts on the top.
