Paneer Bhurji is very easy and fast Indian main course dish.

To prepare Paneer Bhurji you need:

  • Cooking oil – 1 tbsp
  • Paneer (cottage cheese) – 100 grams (scrambled/ mashed)
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 2 tomatoes (chopped)
  • Peas – 50 grams
  • Ginger-garlic paste (or grated ginger and garlic) – a little bit
  • Green chili (1 chopped) – to taste
  • Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
  • Red chili powder – 1/4 tsp – to taste
  • Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala (you can skip it if you can’t find it in your country)
  • Salt – to taste
  • Coriander/ other greenery – to taste

Recipe:

  • Heat the pan with oil;
  • Add cumin seeds, roast it for a minute;
  • Add onion, green chili and ginger-garlic paste, cook it until it turns golden-brown;
  • Add tomatoes and cook it until it’s soft;
  • Add all the spices except salt and cook it for 2 minutes;
  • Add peas and cook it for 5 minutes;
  • Add paneer, mix everything well, add salt and cook it for 5 more minutes;
  • When it’s ready, add greenery on top of it.
