This drink is an old Ayurveda recipe, but it is being consumed these days too by many people in India before bedtime in winters. Milk with turmeric is also known as “golden milk”. This drink began to gain popularity for its benefits for health all around the world. It is rich in antioxidants, helps to reduce the risk of cancer, to improve memory and brain function, protects from heart diseases, lowers blood sugar, can help to reduce joint pain, has antibacterial, antiviral and anti-fungal properties, improves digestion, helps to strengthen bones and immunity, and improves the mood as well.

There are several recipes for turmeric milk, using various of additional spices, such are ginger, fennel seeds, cinnamon and even pepper. But basic ingredients are always milk and turmeric and you can do using them only!


  • Put a cup of milk in the pan;
  • Add 1 tsp. of turmeric;
  • Add cinnamon, ginger, fennel seeds to taste;
  • After milk started to boil, cook it for 5-10 minutes more;
  • Put it in the cup through strainer;
  • You can add honey or sugar to taste.

The drink is ready!
