It is healthy and tasty vegan dish, easy in cooking
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of dalia/ bulgur;
- 2 cups of water
- 1 onion of medium size, finely chopped;
- 1 inch/ 2 cm of ginger, chopped or grated;
- 1 green chili, chopped – to taste;
- 1-2 tomatoes, finely chopped/ grated;
- 1/2 cup of fresh/ frozen sweet corn;
- Other vegetables/ mushrooms/ fresh greenery – to taste;
- 1 tsp of cumin seeds – to taste;
- Curry leaves – to taste;
- Salt – to taste;
- Black pepper – to taste;
- Other spices – to taste;
- 2 tbsp of oil
Recipe:
- Boil dalia/ bulgur with 1 tbsp of oil and salt, set aside;
- Add remaining oil to a pan, let it get hot;
- Add cumin seeds and curry leaves (if adding) to a pan and fry them for 30 seconds:
- Add ginger and onions and fry them until they turn golden-brown;
- Add chopped tomatoes and cook for 2-3 minutes;
- Add corn and other vegetables of your choice, cook them until they are soft (add water if required);
- Add boiled cereal to vegetables, then add salt, black pepper and other desired spices, mix everything very well;
- Cook it for another 5 minutes;
- The dish is ready. You can serve it with a fresh greenery/ a small amount of roasted peanuts on the top.
